ELIAMEP has embarked on a new series of closed circle meetings under the umbrella title “Άμεση αντίδραση | First reaction”. The meetings aim to facilitate an initial discussion and analysis of current affairs and ongoing issues.
The inaugural meeting on Wednesday, 17 January 2024 at 4.00-5.30pm set out to identify and discuss the legal and political issues arising from South Africa’s decision to take Israel before the International Court of Justice on grounds relating to the Genocide Convention. The discussion was moderated by Professor Maria Gavouneli, Director General of ELIAMEP.
