The youth group EUYouthHub organized an online debate on “Immigration and the European Union” on November 10, 2021. The issues developed in the debate focused on the New Pact on Migration and Asylum, in relation to the Dublin Regulations, and on the role of Turkey, primarily regarding the present and future of the 2016 EU-Turkey joint statement.
Introductory remarks were presented by Spyros Blavoukos, Senior Research Fellow, Head of “Ariane Condellis” Programme at ELIAMEP, and the Hub’s Co-Convenor, Associate Professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business, while the event was coordinated by Dr. Alexandros Kyriakidis, Post-Doctoral Research Fellow of the aforementioned program and the Hub’s Co-Convenor.»
