Ioannis N. Grigoriadis recently participated in the International Studies Association 2024 Annual Convention that took place in San Francisco between the 3rd and 6th of April. On Wednesday 3 April joined esteemed colleagues for the event ‘Author Meets Critics: Nora Fisher-Onar’s Contesting Pluralism(s): Islam, Liberalism and Nationalism in Turkey and Beyond’. On Thursday 4 April he participated in in the panel ‘Populist Politics in the Modern World’ presenting a co-authored paper on ‘Elite Universities as Populist Scapegoats: Evidence from Hungary and Turkey’, while on Saturday 6 April he presented his paper on ‘The EU Strategic Autonomy Litmus Test in the Eastern Mediterranean: Resolving the Cyprus Problem’ within the panel ‘European Diplomacy: Regional and International Dimensions’.
