Ioannis Armakolas gave a lecture on “The Western Balkans and EU enlargement: regional policy and key challenges ” at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Belgrade, within the framework of a work visit along with other professors, related to activities and policy ideas around the revival of the European Union’s Enlargement Agenda.

More specifically, Ioannis Armakolas spoke about the challenges and the opportunities of the EU’s enlargement for the Western Balkans’ region, within the new geopolitical context, especially following Russia’s war in Ukraine.

The lecture was followed by a lively discussion with students and other professors including  vice dean for scientific research of  Faculty of Political Sciences of Belgrade’s University, prof. Nemanja Džuverović and Professors Ivan Radić Milosavljević and Nebojsa Vladisavljević.
