ELIAMEP’s South-East Europe Programme organised a roundtable discussion with Ambassador Moschopoulos, Head of the Greek Liaison Office in Pristina and European Union Facilitator for the Protection of the Serbian Religious and Cultural Heritage in Kosovo on 21 October 2013. Ambassador Moschopoulos focused on recent developments concerning this issue which is a prerequisite for Kosovo’s future EU perspective. He also offered a detailed historical analysis, particularly since Kosovo’s declaration of independence in 2008 and concentrated on the role of the Implementation and Monitoring Council (IMC) formed in 2010. He, finally, referred to the Protection of the zones around monuments.
