The infographics illustrate Turkey’s trade dependence on the developed economies of the West and particularly the EU. The majority of Turkish exports (55%) are directed to these markets, with EU holding the lion’s share (44%). At the same time, these economies are responsible for a substantial part of Turkey’s imports (41%), with the EU figuring as one of the country’s main suppliers (32% of imports).
