Othon Kaminiaris is a Junior Research Fellow at ELIAMEP, under the Sustainable Development Programme. He is also a PhD Candidate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, studying, under the auspices of the UNESCO Chair on Climate Diplomacy and with a scholarship from the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY), the external dimension of the EU climate change policy towards Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. In the past, he has worked in the NGOs sector, as well as the public and private sectors, researching on issues like climate change, energy, just transition and, in general, sustainable development, also organising several relevant educational activities. Indicatively, we worked as a researcher for the environmental think tank The Green Tank, the National Center for Social Research (EKKE), as well as the Institute of European Integration and Policy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration and a master’s in International and European Studies. He speaks English, French, and Spanish. Last but not least, he is the Secretary General of the Political Science and Public Administration Alumni Association.
