George Pagoulatos, Vice President of ELIAMEP, Professor of Economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business, participated in a discussion on the topic of “The university’s role today”, which was organized during the Delphi Economic Forum IV.

During his address concerning the role of the universities today, Mr. Pagoulatos underlined that higher education should not be self-referential as globalization progresses, and that “therefore its aim should be the achievement of extroversion and internationalization.” He also added that universities “must be receptive to students from other countries, hence creating generations of philhellenes.”
