Deliberative Democracy: The Need for Institutional Change in Greece – Meeting with Institutional Stakeholders within the Framework of the Demo-Act Project

On May 18, ELIAMEP hosted an event that brought together policymakers and political representatives from local and national government, alongside representatives of Greece’s major democratic political parties. The discussion centered on the Policy Brief “Deliberative Democracy: The Need for Institutional Reform in Greece,” prepared by Savvas Papadopoulos, Professor Spyros Blavoukos, and the Demo Act team. Participants also examined concrete steps toward institutionalizing deliberative democracy and strengthening its role within Greece’s democratic governance system.
