Dr Evangelia Psychogiopoulou, senior research fellow at ELIAMEP, participated in the symposium Technology and Regulation in a Convergent Environment: The Role of Social Media and its Implications. The conference was hosted by Media 21 Foundation and the Bulgarian Association of Software Companies (BASSCOM) in Sofia on 11-12 November 2019.

Dr Psychogiopoulou presented findings from a study carried out in the framework of the COMPACT project on national court decisions concerning social media, blogs, messaging applications, online forums, chat rooms and so on. Her presentation focused on key characteristics of judicial reasoning in relevant rulings and the integration (or lack thereof) of a fundamental rights dimension.
