Dr Ioannis Voudouris is assistant professor of Commercial and Maritime Law at Frederick University, Cyprus, where he also serves as coordinator of international academic programmes and educational activities. He has lectured in European and Business Law at distinguished academic institutions in Europe and India and has authored a substantial body of scholarly articles and monographs.

He has led or participated in international research projects in the fields of shipping, sustainability, the marine environment, cybercrime, customs enforcement and compliance with regulatory frameworks established by the IMO and the European Union.

With extensive international experience in shipping and having served in various professional roles, he has developed substantial operational knowledge of the maritime sector and strategic insight into the broader context of the blue economy.

He is a graduate of Athens Law School, holds an LL.M. from the University of Kent, a Ph.D. from Queen Mary, University of London and has conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Cyprus.

He is an accredited arbitrator and is fluent in Greek, English and French.
