The Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) is looking for an unpaid intern to help the South East European Program in PR. ELIAMEP offers internships (six months) in various programs throughout the year, providing interns with experience through work in a real world environment.

Qualifications required:

The ideal candidate will be a postgraduate student (English, Journalism, Public Policy or Political Science majors are preferred) with an excellent knowledge of the English language (preferably native speaker). An intern should have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and prior experience, or strong interest, in politics and/or communications. It is essential that the individual can work well in a fast-paced, high pressure work environment and be able to work independently or in a team. Also, possible candidates should have excellent computer skills; be responsible, reliable and attentive to detail.

Tasks:

Communication Officer and English Copy Editor works on a variety of communication-related and editing-related tasks. He/she is charged with editing all English-language reporting and communication material, developing the team’s writing capacity and assisting it to prepare content for periodic reports, monthly newsletters and quarterly staff newsletters. The Communication Officer will develop email campaigns and e-newsletters to enhance awareness of team activities while being responsible for proposal management; including researching funding opportunities, writing proposals and ensuring their timely submission.
