The AI4GR<\/strong> project aims to study the economic effects of AI innovations<\/strong> in Greece and the European Union<\/strong>. Despite the increasing diffusion of AI technologies, their macroeconomic and labor market effects<\/strong> remain largely unexplored due to a lack of reliable data.<\/p>\n

Key Objectives<\/strong><\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Develop a novel AI innovation index<\/strong> using textual analysis<\/strong> of patent data<\/strong> from the European Patent Office (EPO)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Link AI patents to specific industries<\/strong> to understand how AI technologies are diffusing across sectors.<\/li>\n
  3. Estimate the impact of AI technologies on macroeconomic variables and labor market outcomes<\/strong> in Greece and the EU using Panel VAR and dynamic econometric models<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Examine how AI technology diffusion from EU core economies to periphery ones<\/strong> affects economic growth.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
