The aim of this project is to inform and raise the awareness<\/strong> of the Greek public about the history<\/strong> and the evolution of NATO during the 70 years of its history<\/strong> and the importance of the organization today. It wishes to propose realistic scenarios about the future of NATO and the need for it to transform and adapt to the new security environment.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The objectives are the following:<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Increase awareness and understanding of NATO and its role in global security, with a special focus in the Mediterranean, Eastern Europe and Greece; <\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Promote a holistic understanding of NATO\u2019s historic achievements as the defensive Alliance of the Euro- Atlantic world;<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Increase the confidence and knowledge of Greek citizens about the role of NATO as a security provider from multiple threats and about its importance today; <\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Connect global and human security in a constructive way and present NATO as the security provider not only for its member-states but also for individuals; <\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Prepare a number of future scenarios about NATO\u2019s role based in \u201cwhat if\u201d and \u201cblack swans\u201d methodologies.<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
