The key ideas and outputs of the Conference found their way to the Commission work programme for 2023. In direct response to the Conference\u2019s conclusion and\u00a0<\/span>the surrounding\u00a0<span lang=\"en-US\">dynamics, the Commission has also launched, throughout 2023, citizens\u2019 panels on specific legislative proposals.\u00a0<\/span>Monitoring closely these developments,\u00a0<strong>ELIAMEP<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>Hanns Seidel Foundation\u00a0<\/strong><strong>present<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>the third collective output\u00a0with a focus on the Conference and its legacy in the EU policy-making system.<\/p>\n<p>In the previous two,\u00a0emphasis was given on academics and think tankers who followed Conference-related developments either participating in it or closely monitoring and analysing its deliberative features. In this Working Paper, attention shifts to organised civil society and social partners with contributions from those two groups. In the Introduction,\u00a0<b>Spyros Blavoukos<\/b>\u00a0(Head of the Ariane Condellis European Programme of ELIAMEP) offers an overview of the developments more than one year after the end of the Conference. His contribution is followed by those by\u00a0<b><span lang=\"en-US\">Patrizia Heidegger\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"en-US\">(European Environment Bureau),\u00a0<\/span><b><span lang=\"en-US\">Ioannis Vardakastanis<\/span><\/b>, (<span lang=\"en-US\">European Disability Forum of the European Confederation of People with Disabilities),\u00a0<b>Alexandrina Najmowicz\u00a0<\/b>(Civil Society Convention for the Future of Europe)<b>, Valeria Ronzitti<\/b>\u00a0(SGI Europe \u2013 Services of General Interest), and<b>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><b><span lang=\"en-US\">Esther Lynch<\/span><\/b><span lang=\"en-US\">\u00a0(European Trade Union Confederation).
