The latest issue of Southeast European and Black Sea Studies is now available online<\/a>. This issue contains diverse articles and book reviews. Cristiano Bee & Ayhan Kaya contributed a detailed articled titled \u201cBetween practices and demands: ambiguities, controversies and constraints in the emergence of active citizenship in Turkey<\/a>\u201d. Vasile Rotaru & Miruna Troncot\u0103 also co-authored the article \u201cContinuity and change in instrumentalizing \u2018The Precedent\u2019. How Russia uses Kosovo to legitimize the annexation of Crimea<\/a>\u201d. Gianfranco Brusaporci\u2019s contribution to this issue is \u201cThe impact of EU multi-level regionalism strategy on Bulgarian local authorities: qualitative comparative analysis among nine border areas<\/a>\u201d. Further articles include \u201cA painful break or agony without end? The stateness problem and its influence on democratization in Croatia and Serbia<\/a>\u201d by Filip Mila\u010di\u0107, as well as the \u201cQuality of democracy in unrecognized states: lessons from Northern Cyprus<\/a>\u201d by Diren\u00e7 Kanol & Nur K\u00f6pr\u00fcl\u00fc. There are two Kosovo-centered pieces encompassed in the issue, namely \u201cIssues of local ownership in Kosovo\u2019s security sector<\/a>\u201d by Florian Qehaja & Iztok Prezelj and Shqipe Mjekiqi\u2019s questioning examination of \u201cHow do MPs in Kosovo develop constituency links? A comparison of MPs\u2019 behaviour under closed-list and open-list PR electoral systems<\/a>\u201d. Moreover, \u00a0Ionela Vlase & Ana Maria Preoteasa contributed an article on \u201cRomanians\u2019 current perception of threat from immigrants in a context of co-ethnic migration: assessing the role of intergroup conflict and active\/passive contact<\/a>\u201d, while \u201cBetween national and European foreign policy: the role of Latvia and Romania in the EU\u2019s policy towards Central Asia<\/a>\u201d was written by Fabienne Bossuyt.\u00a0 The issue includes the historic overview article \u201cMonitoring the rise of a radical force: the British Embassy in Athens and the Ascent of the Greek Panhellenic Socialist Movement, 1974\u20131981<\/a>\u201d written by Lykourgos Kourkouvelas. This newest issue is also comprised by various book reviews, such as Tamara Pavasovi\u0107 Tro\u0161t\u2019s take on the book \u201cDivided we stand: discourses on identity in \u2018First\u2019 and \u2018Other\u2019 Serbia. Social construction of the Self and the Other<\/a>\u201d. Andrew Wachtel has also written a review on \u201cPost-Yugoslav constellations: archive, memory, and trauma in contemporary Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian literature and culture<\/a>\u201d.
