It navigates between perspectives presenting Orthodoxy as<br \/>\nan exception to European secularisation on the one hand, and as an imminent participant in the<br \/>\nsecularisation process via integration into European institutions on the other. Focusing on the<br \/>\nGreek case, the inquiry examines the extent to which \u2018Europe\u2019 (both culturally and politically) may<br \/>\nbe considered to have a secularising influence on Orthodox Greece.
