A few months of negotiations during the\u00a0first half of 2015 were enough for SYRIZA to understand\u00a0that the EU\u2019s economic agenda exercises full\u00a0control over a large spectrum of national public policies,\u00a0even more so when dealing with highly indebted\u00a0countries. The third loan agreement, worth\u00a086 billion euros, and the memorandum of understanding\u00a0concluded on July 2015 between the\u00a0SYRIZA-led government and its EU\/IMF\u00a0 creditors\u00a0further reinforced the EU\u2019s extensive apparatus of\u00a0surveillance, audit and evaluation of the Greek\u00a0economy.
