It is entitled: \u00a0<em>Migrant Smuggling. Irregular Migration from Asia and Africa to Europe<\/em>.\u00a0The book explores one important aspect of international irregular\u00a0migration, notably the smuggling of migrants from Asia and Africa into\u00a0southern European countries. During the last two decades, international\u00a0migration has intensified both across the East to West and South to North\u00a0axis, with Europe receiving increasing numbers of migrants from developing\u00a0countries in Africa and Asia (and also Latin America). This work\u00a0examines this international movement of people that often takes place\u00a0illegally and involves either unlawful border crossings or overstaying (with\u00a0or without a visa). The book also discusses how migration control policies\u00a0in southern European countries may inadvertently shape the migrant\u00a0smuggling phenomenon and the smuggling &#8216;business&#8217;.
