The Istituto Affari Internazionali, on behalf of the <\/span>EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium<\/span>, is organizing a \u201cNext Generation Workshop\u201d to discuss non-proliferation and disarmament challenges. The workshop will be held in Brussels on 4 December 2023, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Central European Time (CET).<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

The call is open to:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u25aa<\/span> Junior diplomats, M.A and PhD students, researchers and professionals with proven experience in Arms Control, Non-Proliferation and Disarmament issues who would like to make a presentation at the Workshop.<\/span><\/p>\n

Selected applicants will be invited to make a presentation at the Workshop on one the following areas\/topics:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Conflict Dynamics and Security Cooperation in East Asia<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Nuclear Proliferation Challenges and the Future of the NPT Regime<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 New and Emerging Technologies and Arms Control<\/span><\/p>\n

Presentations should offer the speakers\u2019 view on the topic under discussion and will be followed by comments from other participants. Each session will be chaired by members of the EUNPD Consortium and Network.<\/span><\/p>\n

Selected speakers will also be invited to participate in the 2023 EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament (EUNPD) Conference, which will take place from 3:00 pm on 4 December to 6:00 pm on 5 December.<\/span><\/p>\n

Candidates can be from both the EU or non-EU countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Travel and accommodation costs for both events will be covered. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Age limit<\/strong>: 36 years old by the end of 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

Application material:<\/span>
\u2022 R\u00e9sum\u00e9 or CV (max 2 pages)<\/span>
\u2022 Cover letter detailing the applicant\u2019s motivations for taking part in the workshop<\/span>
\u2022 500-word abstract explaining the topic that the applicant wants to present at the workshop<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 One letter of reference<\/span><\/p>\n

Please note that incomplete applications won’t be considered.<\/span><\/p>\n
