Before joining ELIAMEP, Alessandro was an intern at the Italian \u201cAssociazione Trentino con i Balcani\u201d and worked as a Project Assistant at the Belgrade-based European Policy Center (CEP). Beyond EU enlargement, his research focuses on\u00a0dominant party systems\u00a0and competitive authoritarianism with a focus on the Western Balkans.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Alessandro is both an Italian and Greek national and fluently speaks English and Serbo-Croatian.
