Dr.\u00a0<\/span>Othon<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Kaminiaris<\/span><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0is an Expert on Environment and Climate Change<\/span>\u00a0Affairs<\/span>\u00a0at the Ministry\u00a0<\/span>of<\/span>\u00a0Foreign Affairs<\/span>\u00a0of the Hellenic Republic<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>H<\/span>e is\u00a0<\/span>also\u00a0<\/span>a Research Associate at the UNESCO Chair on Climate Diplomacy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>He has previously worked as an independent researcher for public and private\u00a0<\/span>organisations<\/span>\u00a0in Greece, including ELIAMEP, the National Centre for Social Research (EKKE), the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR<\/span>), the National and\u00a0<\/span>Kapodistrian<\/span>\u00a0University of Athens (NKUA\/IEEP), and The Green Tank, focusing on climate change, energy, just transition, and open governance.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>He<\/span>\u00a0also<\/span>\u00a0has extensive experience in the management and implementation of\u00a0<\/span>programmes<\/span>. He received his PhD with\u00a0<\/span>honours<\/span>\u00a0from the\u00a0<\/span>said\u00a0<\/span>University, for which he was awarded a scholarship by the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY)<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>He holds a\u00a0<\/span>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Political Science and Public Administration<\/span>\u00a0and a\u00a0<\/span>Master\u2019s degree in International<\/span>\u00a0and European Studies. He speaks English, French, and Spanish.
