Dia Anagnostou <\/strong>(Ph.D. Cornell University, Department of Government, 1999) is Associate Professor of Comparative Politics and International Governance, in the Department of Public Administration at Panteion University of Social Sciences, and Senior Research Fellow at the Hellenic Foundation of European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) in Athens (from September 2004 until present). Anagnostou currently works as Seconded National Expert at the European Research Council Executive Agency. In the past, she has held research positions at Princeton University (1999-2000), at the European University Institute in Florence (2000-2001; January-February 2009, 2010-2012), and at the University of Cyprus (2020-2022), and she also teaches at the College of Europe in Bruges.<\/p>\n

Anagnostou is an expert with extensive research experience on issues of human rights, legal mobilization and European governance. Her research has focused on the influence that courts, international law and supranational institutions exert in advancing rights, specifically in relation to gender equality, minorities, migrants and vulnerable groups. Anagnostou also has substantial experience and expertise as practitioner in gender mainstreaming in research and higher education, and she has served as member and vice-chair in the Gender Equality Committee of Panteion University (2020-2023). Over the past fifteen years, she has been involved as coordinator or partner in several large and medium-size research projects funded by the European Commission\u2019s Framework Programs. She is co-author and editor of three books, and fifty articles and book chapters, and she has published the monograph The European Convention of Human Rights Regime \u2013 Reform of Immigration and Minority Policies from Afar <\/em>(Routledge, 2023).
