Giuseppe Mazziotti, Abreu Professor in Law and Innovation at the Cat\u00f3lica Global School of Law and FairMusE Project Coordinator, then presented key project findings on the role of EU law in protecting creators\u2019 rights. He specifically focused on the Directive on Copyright and Related Rights in the Digital Single Market (Directive 2019\/790), with special attention to the national transpositions of Article 18. Next, Eirini Volikou, Research Fellow at the Universidade Cat\u00f3lica Portuguesa and the University of Tartu discussed how competition law and enforcement, as well as platform regulation can contribute to strengthening authors\u2019 and performers\u2019 rights.
