It then moved to an assessment of the recent EU pact on migration and asylum. The conundrum of how to reconcile our economies\u2019 needs for more migrants in the context of labour shortages and demographic change, with our societies\u2019 seemingly low tolerance for migration, was at the heart of the roundtable.
