Dr. Lazarou served as first respondent in the session on <em>Europe in the World<\/em>, addressing the strategic question:<br \/>\n\u201cHow can Europeans bring back and secure peace in Europe and shape a foreign policy that stands up against a world of transactionalism, \u2018might is right\u2019, and weak global institutions?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the afternoon, the EPC Annual Conference convened top policymakers, diplomats, and thought leaders\u2014including European Commissioner for Democracy Michael McGrath and Executive Vice-President Teresa Ribera\u2014for a fast-paced discussion on renewing trust, defending democratic values, and countering disinformation.
