{"id":32698,"date":"2023-10-19T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-10-18T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eliamep.lncdoo.com\/activity\/9th-western-balkans-civil-society-forum\/"},"modified":"2023-10-19T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2023-10-18T21:00:00","slug":"9th-western-balkans-civil-society-forum","status":"publish","type":"activity","link":"https:\/\/www.eliamep.gr\/en\/activity\/9th-western-balkans-civil-society-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"9th Western Balkans Civil Society Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"the-content\"><p><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><strong>Ioannis Armakolas<\/strong> participated at the 9<sup>th<\/sup> Western Balkans Civil Society Forum organized by European Economic and Social Committee that took place on October 19 in Thessaloniki.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">More specifically he addressed as a keynote speaker the inaugural session: \u201cThe state of democracy in South East Europe: civil society &#8220;health test&#8221; on the road to EU enlargement\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">I. Armakolas stressed among other things that currently due to the ongoing war in Ukraine and the new geopolitical context it seems that the EU\u2019s enlargement process is currently revitalized but this time it should last at least for the Western Balkans.
