The South-Εast Europe Programme of ELIAMEP implemented in the course of the second half of 2019, jointly with the think tank Analytica, based in Skopje, a research project dedicated to the issue of cooperation between Greece and North Macedonia in the fields of education, culture and civil society in the context following the Prespa Agreement.

This was the third consecutive project that was funded by Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The two previous projects also dealt with the issue of cooperation between the two countries. The 2019 project presents the particularity of being the first research project implemented jointly by think tanks of the two countries, whilst it was also the first among the three conducted with Analytica that contained policy recommendations.

The main purpose of the project is to provide a systematic recording and analysis of the current framework of cooperation between Greece and North Macedonia in the fields of education, research, culture and civil society.

The report was presented in both Skopje and Athens in December 2019 and in both cases the events were attended by the Ambassadors of Sweden in the respective countries as well as by diplomats of other neighboring countries, academics and journalists.
