George Angeletopoulos was born in Athens in 1967. He studied History & Archaeology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, concluded his post-graduate studies at the Bosphorus University in Istanbul and received his PhD in Modern History from Cyprus University in Nicosia.

He has served in Press & Communication Offices in Ankara (1st Secretary, 2004-2006), Nicosia (Counselor, head of the Office, 2006-2010) and Istanbul (likewise, 2013-2017). He currently works at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a Public Diplomacy officer.

His scientific interests and publications cover fields such as Turkish foreign policy, aspects of Turkish societal and political dynamics, the Cyprus issue, Modern Greek history, as well as Communication Research in theory and practice. He has recently c0-authored with Evangelos Aretaios the book “Turkey. The Train of Great Modernization” (Papadopoulos, 2019, in Greek) and has published his own “Persuasion and Propaganda” (Papadopoulos, 2020, in Greek).
