Europe is likely to experience a recession, argues ELIAMEP Director General George Pagoulatos in an interview with Liberal.gr, explaining that while the pandemic is inherently neither a financial nor a budgetary crisis, it will result in unprecedented restrictions and the devastation of economic activity across different sectors. This, says ELIAMEP Director General, will have a severe impact on demand and supply, and will affect everything from the profit of businesses and banks to unemployment and income. George Pagoulatos explains that it is impossible for the Greek economy to not be affected by such a drastic hit to the European economy.
