Yorgos Christidis talks about the recent EU-sponsored agreement made between Bulgaria and North Macedonia to tackle Bulgarian objections to Skopje’s accession course, the prospect of North Macedonia acceeding to the EU, and the progress made in this respect by Albania, Montenegro and Serbia.
He also explains Belgrade’s unusual domestic and foreign policy, as well as the emergence of a new political scene in Bulgaria, following the recent governmental crisis and the ‘shadows’ of Russian influence. He also talks about Greece’s position today in the wider Balkan region.
