In an interview with Australia’s SBS Greek programme Ioannis Armakolas noted that even if Zoran Zaev reversed his initial decision to resign immediately from the country’s premiership and the Social Democratic party’s leadership, he may remain in power for a few more months.

He added that the nationalistic main opposition party VMRO – DPMNE has given a lifeline to Zaev with the way it has handled the political crisis following the results of the recent local elections.
