“Faced with the obvious exploitation of mixed migration from Turkey, we need to maintain a rational and supportive front. The different ideological approaches to asylum and integration are known. The structural weaknesses of the current migration system are also known. However, these differences and weaknesses should not stand in the way of creating a foundational social and political policy to manage long term behaviors. When we overlook crucial matters, such as integration, the possibility of encountering even more complex, if not explosive, issues further down the line increases,” writes Panagiotis Paschalidis in his article for newspaper TA NEA.
