ELIAMEP announces with great pleasure that the Research Fellowship on “Greek-American Relations” in memory of Theodore Couloumbis is awarded to journalist Katerina Sokou. Katerina Sokou will examine in depth Greek-American relations as they are shaped through the great crises of our time (immigration, public health, Russia’s war against Ukraine, energy crisis and climate change.) She will also deal with the “troubled triangle” that is with the relations between Greece, US and Turkey.

Katerina Sokou is the Washington DC correspondent for SKAI TV and Greek daily newspaper Kathimerini, where she is also a columnist, focusing on transatlantic relations, foreign policy, and financial diplomacy. She is a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Europe Center, a member of the advisory board at the Society for Hellenism and Philhellenism, and a board member at The Hellenic Initiative Canada.
