“The large number of protests and the mass mobilization that took place in the first six month of 2020 have created a new political dynamic and have activated citizens across the United States. The manner in which this activism will translate to votes in the swing states and affect the result of the upcoming election will unfold in the following months. Given how ideologically polarizing the current White House resident is, voters will have to approach the other side of the political spectrum with patience and skill. Importantly, more states should offer the opportunity for their citizens to vote through post if a second wave of Covid-19 hits in the fall,” points out Jens Bastian in his article for newspaper “TA NEA”.
