Yorgos Christidis noted in an interview that the Russian Federation should consider the enormous damage sustained by its foreign policy, even in those Balkan countries where there were a significant number of pro-Russians, just a year after its invasion of Ukraine.

The number of Russophiles is already in decline, especially in countries like Bulgaria, which are seeking to reduce their energy dependence on Russia and have already done so to a considerable extent. Christidis also refers both to Athens’ role in the Balkans and to the latest developments in the Kosovo-Serbia issue.
