In the present opinion article, Mr. Thanos Dokos, Director General of ELIAMEP, expresses his view on the need to strengthen national capabilities in the areas of strategic planning and crisis management. A country in a difficult neighborhood, with a rather negative tradition in crisis management, confronted with demographic crisis, weaknesses of the state mechanism and weak education system, has not good chances of prosperity if does not develop at least a strategic planning system and a roadmap to achieve its goals, as Thanos Dokos writes for “Kathimerini” newspaper.
