Lioncode Your IT People and the Climate Change Hub received the Silver Award for a Climate Change Hub Platform in the “Green Synergies” category of the Green Brand Awards 2023. At the ceremony organised by Boussias Events on Tuesday 21 March in a central Athens hotel, the award was presented to Maria Logotheti, the Hub’s President, and Konstantina Karydis, its Vice President.
The Green Brand Awards have been rewarding innovation in products, services and development processes that promote the Green economy and Eco Living for three years now. They highlight organizations and initiatives that combine sustainability and viability with business development and environmental protection, offering society sustainable technologies and practices as well as products that are Green, Eco-friendly, Recyclable, Reusable, create Zero Waste, and consume low levels of energy.
The award-winning Climate Change Hub Platform is a dynamic, innovative and interactive tool that makes it easier to monitor the progress being made towards national climate targets. The Hub’s ultimate aim is to empower society while helping to create an informed community that takes actions and initiatives. The Platform is the backbone of the Climate Change Hub: it brings together in one place (a one-stop-shop) data and information on climate and the environment from Greece’s 332 municipalities, civil society organisations and both the private and wider public sector for the first time. The organisations and citizens who participate in the Platform enter their data at their end and are able to stay up-to-date with developments, funding and programmes, and both interact and cooperate. The Platform also provides expertise and information on international practices vis-a-vis green transition and resilience.
