“How will our society, and the world, look like when the lockdown ends and, slowly, like hermits craving sunlight, we all start leaving the safety of our homes?”, wonders George Pagoulatos in his article for the Sunday edition of Kathimerini. He points out how this is the first time in recent history that the Western world has faced such an acute crisis, with such unique characteristics. Pagoulatos expresses his concern not only about the economic impact of the pandemic, but also about how this crisis is deepening divisions among EU countries, while this is the first global crisis from which the US is absent.
