The coronavirus pandemic has created unprecedented conditions across the European continent, writes Jens Bastian, Senior Policy Advisor at ELIAMEP, in his article for newspaper TA NEA. He points out that this time it took the EU only a few weeks and, unlike the 2010-2012 crisis, not months or even years to coordinate and take necessary measures. Bastian emphasizes how, this time around, European countries are cooperating at a unprecedented level, fiscally and financially.
