Across the globe, women are disproportionately affected by the socio-economic implications of the covid-19 pandemic. Since women earn less and are predominant in precarious work, they were less protected in the face of a new recession. The existing social inequalities and breaches of their rights worsen the situation. Can this challenge strengthen the position of women?
