Maja Maksimović, Research Associate at the South-East Europe Programme of ELIAMEP, was interviewed by the Republika Srpska News Agency (SRNA), Bosnia and Herzegovina, regarding her doctoral research which deals with the question of forcible displacement of population during the 1992-95 war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the interview, and based on a study of the micro-society of the north-eastern Bosnian town of Bijeljina, Dr. Maksimović spoke of the ways in which the war and the experience of forcible displacement influenced the sense of membership and belonging in ethnic, social and cultural terms of a group of refugees and internally displaced persons in this town.
