Balkan Insight published an article in which Fjori Sinoruka analysed Albania and Greece’s decision to refer their maritime border dispute to the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague. The article quotes Bledar Feta’s opinion that: “The chance of a decision being reached that will satisfy both sides is high. The fact that Greek-Albanian relations have developed in a climate of mistrust has created the impression that there is a national betrayal behind any bilateral agreement. In this context, the involvement of The Hague in the process will help create a more positive climate, and thus increase the possibility of a fair agreement”.
