George Pagoulatos explains, in his article for the English Edition of Kathimerini – International New York Times, how the ongoing crisis is the ultimate accelerator and how processes that were evolving idly are suddenly adapting to the aggressive pace of the virus’ spread. Pagoulatos cites the digital infrastructure and functions that our country acquired in just a few weeks as an example; a feat that, before the pandemic, would have taken years to accomplish. He points out that our habits are adapting at a corresponding speed, so now teleworking is the new norm. A new normal that came to stay in our lives as “a significant side benefit of this terrible pandemic”.
