“The new President-elect is a positive change for Greece. Our country can now rely on foreign relations based on predictable politics and rational positions, based on existing international power relations, with the US. However, this does not ensure that all the political decisions the US will make will be positive for Greece. It does mean that it is up to us to ‘feel’ the situation and act accordingly, without the fear of an unexpected third party reaction that would enrage our opponent,” writes Michalis Mathioulakis, ELIAMEP Research Associate, in his article for Liberal.gr.
