Haris Malamidis is research fellow at ELIAMEP for the AMIF project ‘Approaches to valorise the high entrepreneurial potential of migrant women to contribute to their social and economic integration’ (ATHENA) and a post-doctoral researcher working on migrants’ integration and social and solidarity economy at the department of Sociology at University of Crete. Haris has worked as a researcher at ELIAMEP for the Horizon 2020 project Norms and Values in the European Migration and Refugee Crisis (NOVAMIGRA) and as adjunct lecturer in the master program of Social and Solidarity Economy at the Hellenic Open University.

He is member of the Center of Social Movement Studies (Cosmos) at Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence, the international Community Economies Research Network (CERN) and the Hellenic Political Science Association. His book ‘Social Movements and Solidarity Structures in Crisis-Ridden Greece’ has been published by Amsterdam University Press, while his articles have been published in academic journals and the press.
