Angeliki Dimitriadi is a Research Fellow at ΕLIAMEP, in the field of migration. Her work focuses on irregular migration and asylum policies in the EU.

She has participated in numerous research projects on migration and asylum, including the recent ESRC project “Crossing the Mediterranean Sea by Boat: Mapping and Documenting Migratory Journeys and Experiences” (Univ. Warwick).  She was a Visiting Fellow on migration issues, at the European Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin between October 2015 and April 2016.

Dr. Dimitriadi has published articles in refereed journals and regularly comments in the international and Greek media on current migration issues. She is the author of two monographs, one available in Greek “Διέλευση και μετανάστευση στην Ελλάδα: η περίπτωση των Αφγανών, Πακιστανών και  Μπαγκλαντεσιανών” (Νήσος, 2012) and the recently published “Afghan migration Europe: at the margins, looking in” (Springer/Palgrave, 2017)

She was awarded a PhD from Democritus University of Thrace in Social Administration with a focus on irregular migration. She holds a BSc in International Relations &History from the London School of Economics and an MA in War Studies from King’s College London.
