The Institute of International Economic Relations (IDOS-IIER) and the Europe Direct Information Centre at the Hellenic Foundation Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (Europe Direct ELIAMEP) are organizing a series of seminars dedicated to the upcoming European Elections. The goal is to highlight the important impact of the elections that they will have on the future of the European Union, as well as their impact to the political systems of Europe.
Among the main issues that will be analyzed are:
-The role and the importance of the European Parliament.
-The parliamentary diplomacy of the European Parliament and its role in the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP)
-The democratic deficit of EU
-What is at stake concerning the upcoming European Elections
-The prospects of a more democratic Europe.
The seminars will take place at the conference room of the Institute of International Economic Relations (16, Panepistimiou Str., 2nd floor, Athens, Greece).
The seminars will be organized from Thursday, the 11th of April to Thursday, the 16th of May, from 18:00 until 20:00.
The working language is Greek.
