Grassrootsmobilise Meeting on the National Courts Study and the Legal Status of Religious Minorities

The 6^th Grassrootsmobilise research progress meeting took place in Athens between the 2^nd and 6^th July 2016. The researchers were fortunate enough to be joined in Athens by Professor Monica Claes and Advisory Board Member Professor Julie Ringelheim, who offered feedback on their latest research, particularly in relation to the study of references to the Court’s religion-related case law in national high courts. The meeting was also important in discussing the publications that are currently in development on the legal status of religious minorities, particularly following the presentation of related research at the EASR “Relocating Religion” Conference in Helsinki.

During the meeting Professor Julie Ringelheim and Principal Investigator Dr. Effie Fokas also presented their own papers, and received constructive feedback via Skype from Professor Lorenzo Zucca and Professor Matthias Koenig respectively.
