The Southeast Europe Programme of ELIAMEP presented on Monday, June 11, at the EU Info Center in the city of Skopje, the findings of a recent report dealing with the cross-border cooperation between Greece and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia as well as the cooperation between the two countries in the area of higher education. The study was conducted in the course of 2017 and was financed by the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A similar study was conducted by the research institute Analytica, based in Skopje. The findings of Analytica were presented Magdalena Lembovska, research fellow at Analytica and Veli Kreci, head of Analytica and associate Professor at the South East Europe University in Tetovo. The findings of ELIAMEP were presented by Ioannis Armakolas, head of ELIAMEP’s Southeast Europe Programme and assistant Professor at the department of Balkan Studies at the University of Macedonia, Georgios Christidis, associate Professor at the department of Balkan Studies at the University of Macedonia and Panagiotis Paschalidis, research fellow at ELIAMEP and the University of Macedonia. The presentation was attended by numerous representatives of foreign Embassies in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, including the Swedish Ambassador in the country, Matts Staffansson.
